The "LPA2" is a high-precision oil particle counter that measures the quantity and size of solid contaminants in hydraulic power systems. Seventy percent of hydraulic system failures are caused by contamination of the hydraulic fluid. Contamination includes wear debris (metal particles, seals), rust, and moisture. Managing hydraulic systems means managing oil contamination.
